I Can Be your Hero Baby…
According to Mashable, Facebook has added in mobile status updates, adding functionality that is almost exactly the same as Twitter. From the way Facebook’s status updates worked previously, it should not have been a big deal to add the mobile updates. Twitter still maintains its usefulness to current Twitter users as one can get status updates from any source regardless of social network, such as “stalkees” (not that anyone would do that…) and websites like Mashable. Also, many people who use Facebook may have diluted the relevance of their friend network with each random friend added. However, what Facebook’s new addition might do is stunt Twitter’s adoption rate as people now have a mainstream alternative.
On another note, did anyone see Heroes tonight? I’m trying to figure out what makes me watch this show every Monday. Somehow I’m not convinced that it’s a great show. I feel like I’m watching more to see the ending to the crazy plot rather than for the character development or the acting because I think they are both mediocre.
